In the heart of the forest and just a stone’s throw from Wonderwood, the Gruffalo Nature Discovery trail on Lake Maggiore in Italy is the activity on the road for the whole family that will allow your kids (and you) to win the coveted Tremendous Mice diploma!
How does it work? Simple! Answer the questions distributed along the trail, mark your answers, and keep your eyes peeled: our furry friend shows up very rarely, but who knows, you might get lucky. Once you have completed the route and stopped at the Big Bench, return to Wonderwood: here you can receive the diploma officer (!!!) of Tremendous Mice. Not bad, is it?
It is the perfect way to turn the walk to the Big Bench into an additional playtime to share with the whole family.
Its path is completely surrounded by greenery, creating an immersive, nature-friendly experience.
Along the way you will find several points dedicated to the Gruffalo and his friends, through which you will discover so many interesting facts not only about the fairy tale, but also about our territory.
The trail is accessible only by foot and bicycle, and is available on the same days and times as the park: before setting off on your adventure, stop by and get a map of the trail and all the information you need to complete it.
The trail is totally unpaved: if you brought a pair of comfortable shoes to visit Wonderwood, they will do just fine for the walk.
From the park, the walk to the Big Bench takes about 30 minutes.
